Our district office is conveniently located at 136-21 Latimer Place, 1D, Flushing, NY 11354.

Sandra Ung's journey to public service is both inspiring and deeply rooted in her personal experiences. Having escaped the Cambodian genocide as a child, Sandra and her family found a new home in New York City when she was just seven years old. Growing up in Queens, she attended local public schools, including P.S. 22, J.H.S. 189, Flushing High School, and Hunter College, before earning her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2001. Sandra remains deeply connected to her roots, living next door to her parents and serving as their primary caretaker.

Prior to her tenure on the New York City Council, Sandra dedicated her career to advocating for marginalized communities. As an attorney in a nonprofit organization, she defended survivors of domestic violence and championed their families' rights. Her commitment to public service extended to roles at the municipal, state, and federal levels, including her work in the office of Congresswoman Grace Meng, where she assisted constituents with immigration, veteran affairs, and social security issues.

Sandra's lifelong dedication to community advocacy is evident in her leadership as the Executive Director of the At the Table PAC, which focuses on increasing women and minority representation in politics. She has also contributed to the community by serving on the Board of Managers of the Flushing YMCA. Throughout her career, Sandra has been a passionate advocate for issues impacting women, survivors of domestic violence, youth, and the environment.
