"Sadly, today I witnessed a behavior from a fireman from this brigade that is not only an example of abuse of power, but shameful for the badge that we all in NYC have utmost respect. A member of the brigade threatened me and accused me of imaginable acts of trying to run him over while I was approaching at 3 mph and patiently awaiting that each brigade member is safely in their trucks with doors closed before I proceed, and all because he felt like he's in a position of power assuming I am oblivious of traffic law and regulations when it comes to stopped firetrucks on the side of a street and no indication of street closure. He even threatened to write me a ticket, to which I willfully agreed, but then he realized he has absolutely no basis for doing so. Turns out he simply did not feel like anyone passing his truck, even though the street was not blocked and and the trucks were parked on the side with no emergency signaling. I realize we all have tough moments of frustration, but abuse of power and threats ain't the way to go. We are all tax payers willfully and proudly supporting our firemen, but the respect should go both ways."
