"Highly recommend !!! Free to visit, there might be a small queue to check your bag, but nothing too long. I went there twice, may 2023 and April 2024, last year I was able to be there within the shop’s working hours and buy some postcards and magnets. This year I went there a little late and couldn’t visit the shop but visited the museum instead. There are several floors and not all levels had restrooms opened or available. Not everyone can go into the study rooms with the well known lamps, they’re used to study. Overall, GREATT!!"
"This library really stands out also for its architecture and mini museum. Their collections are very interesting so go see them. No entrance fees. Get memorabilia at their gift store too. I was unexpectedly surprised by the top floor art and design so go up via the large steps and take pictures. Worth the visit."
"This library is such a treat. I wish, I were a NYC resident to avail of all services. The building in itself is beautiful with murals on the ceilings. Lots of reading rooms! I hope to do the tour soon. The treasures exhibition was very impressive"
"Visited: 11/07/2023 Popped in on a whim as we weren’t expecting to be nearby. An absolutely stunning building with lots of fascinating exhibits. When we visited, they had a literary exhibit on so we got to learn about Charles Dickens, George Orwell, and lucky for us they had a section on A.A.Milne with the original stuffed animals of Winnie-The-Pooh on display. The museum was huge and it was nice to have a quiet space to wander and enjoy the exhibits, and detailed architecture of the building itself."
