"I was yelled at by the dance instructor for messing up ONCE in a BEGINNER CLASS. I turned left instead of right and he YELLED AT ME. He suggested I "leave the class if I can't follow his choreography". I'm a grown man, I didn't pay to be disciplined by someone who is probably younger than me anyways. I'm paying for a class. If I need a second to catch on, you should TEACH ME, that's what I paid for. Not for you to yell at me."
"Front staff very very rude. I have heard multiple complaints from other dancers in the change rooms who experience the same rudeness from the staff. Teachers are okay, a few are good. Overall, Steps on Broadway has higher quality training and is a better experience in all respects. Edit: manager reached out to me, which I really appreciated!"
"Professional, experienced, kind and funny dance instructors and choreographers. Front desk personnel can sometimes be a little unpleasant, yet the dance classes make up for it and I meet a lot of nice dancers here."
"The studio is fine and pretty well maintained for the size, MOST classes were good but this place definitely doesn’t nurture a very nice environment. I really wonder what makes working the front desk here so painfully miserable because every single person I dealt with at the counter was incredible rude. The check in process is different than most studios in the city and they don’t make that very clear when you first come and make you feel like a noob for not knowing. They’ll check you in and make you stand there (while they have a chat to someone else) waiting to finish checking you. Main offender was the tall man. My last class, my app wasn’t opening, I asked the girl if she could check me in manually and she said ‘just open the app’… to which I said it wasn’t working… to which she said super sarcastically ‘damn I’ll just check you in then’………… hard work I know. I can see this isn’t the first review like this so I don’t know maybe do something about it."
