"This park was created when the small parcel of land was offered to the Clifton Jr. Women's Club as a city beautification project. Members of the Environment Committee raised funds to purchase landscaping shrubbery and benches by holding plant sales and asking for donations from local businesses. The City of Clifton provided Public Works employees to help with the manual labor, and artwork was donated by a local sculptor. The park was dedicated on Earth Day in April of 1971."
