Emerson Francisco as our new Parochial Vicar, appointed by Bishop Kevin Sweeney, effective July 1, 2024. Fr. Emerson, who was ordained on May 28, 2022, brings his experience and passion for ministry from his previous role at Good Shepherd in Andover, NJ.
At St. Philip the Apostle Parish, we are inspired by the mission of Saint Francis of Assisi, who was called to "Rebuild my Church," a call that resonates beyond physical structures to encompass the spiritual and communal life of our congregation. "Just wanted to say what a lovely service you had for my Uncle Herman (Voelkner) The priest did a good job as well as the lector at the graveside. He didn't prolong it and kept it simple and yet personal. The young lady that sang the hymns was phenomenal! I grew up in that parish and went to grade school there. It really looked good and brought back many memories. Herman was very special to me as is their entire family. We all grew up together in Clifton and he was, in addition to his 4 kids, a father to us 5! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks - it was beautifully done!!!"
