Welcome to the Bogota Public Recreation Department, your gateway to a vibrant and active community life in Bogota, New Jersey. Located at 162 West Main Street, our mission is to offer year-round activities and quality recreation programs for residents of all ages. Whether you're looking to participate in sports, engage in community events, or volunteer, we have something for everyone.
Join us at Olsen Park Track every Saturday at 9:30 am for a variety of activities designed to keep you moving and connected with your community. Our annual Egg Hunt is a highlight event, scheduled for Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Olsen Park—mark your calendars for a day of fun and excitement!
We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our team as volunteer coaches for our recreation projects. All youth program volunteers are required to pass a background check and be fingerprinted to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
Stay informed and involved by attending our Recreation Committee meetings, held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Recreation Center. Please note, there are no meetings in July or August. Starting March 2024, we will be posting the minutes of our meetings online to keep you updated on our initiatives and progress.

"It is a nice clean park. Walk through there daily to get to bus terminal. Has 2 tennis courts, picnic area, kids playground, football and baseball separate fields. It is a great place to come for the day. A lot of trees for shade if you don't like the sun"

"Park was ok, lots of goose droppings.. .bathrooms were not that good. They could use a seat lid, not on metal. Bowls need to be cleaned better."
"Parking is awful... there is a lot, but people park on the side of the access road, thus making it wide enough for one way traffic when two way traffic needs to go through. Also, the bathroom in the park was a port-o-john, which is typically not the worst of places to go, but when I was there, there was human feces in the side urinal... disgusting. It had not been maintained in a few days. The fields were ok, but the dugouts were sloppy and access wasn't the best. The park needs to be redone."
