"I had the worst experience with Seka Moving. I had hired them in the past, but this time was a real nightmare. First, they sent only two completely careless and disrespectful men to pack my things in a 2-bedroom apartment which clearly wasn’t enough. They were in a hurry from the start, rushing and trying to pack as quickly as possible. When I opened the boxes at the destination and saw what they had done it broke my heart. My furniture had scratches, the Dyson vacuum cleaner was broken, glass items broken, and the worst part, an antique dresser over 50 years old which was an inheritance was badly damaged. Then when I sent a claim form to Seka Moving to obtain a refund for all the damages (which was valued by 2 different companies for at least $1,000) they offered $45. That’s simply absurd! After endless negotiations which lasted months, they finally offered $250 but with a 2-page contract attached forbidding from ever discussing any of this to anyone. Last time I checked this was a free country. I would never recommend Seka Moving to anyone. Be very careful. Lucia N."

"In 18 years of living in the city, I have never dealt with such incompetent, unprofessional, and sloppy movers. First, the guy who handled my booking gave me all the wrong information and didn’t even take notes of my inventory correctly, so I had to start the process all over again with Rob. Because I was falsely promised a TV dismount, Rob went ahead kept that service for me (which is probably the only reason why giving these guys a 1 star and not 0 would make sense). The crew arrived very late, didn’t know how to strategize the loading of the truck, took a break without even telling me, and made streak marks on my white wooden floor which I myself had to scrub off for 30 minutes using products. There was absolutely no apology, but rather a shrug off of “it’ll come off.” The crew consisted only of two contractors, though I was promised three full times movers. They arrived at my destination almost an after after me even though all they were loading at the end were the mattress and Bedframes. As they were unloading, I noticed how squished and messed up my boxes were, even the ones I had labeled “fragile.” They literally pointed them out to me and said “should be fine.” Again, no waiting for me to open the boxes to see if things were okay and no apology. As you can see in the photo, they even managed to take the marble off of my coffee table, which in 7 years of having that table has never happened with previous movers. As I unpacked my Things, I found more messy boxes that were destroyed and glassware that were broken (see photos). I tried emailing, calling, and even texting the company to redeem themselves before writing this review but no one has contacted me back or apologized for the “service.” This was by far THE WORST moving experience in my 18 years of living in the city. If you care about efficiency, diligence, and carefulness, do not use these guys."
