"Nice small gallery"
"The person who I assume is the proprietress was incredibly hostile and rude. We happened to be passing by their nearly empty “art show”, and, as is normal in 2022, I was doing a quick vid for social. She yelped at me in an incredibly condescending tone- “oh no no no, we don’t do that. We don’t do that. No photos.” Now, If no photos are allowed, that’s cool, obviously, but she talked to me like I was a child - using the type of tone and clipped incomplete sentences one can expect from the type of, ahem, folks who are biased against those who don’t look like them. Let it be known there was another person there, maybe an “artist”, who was taking photos, and she was positively fawning over him compared to how she spoke to us. Again, if potential shoppers cannot take photos, that’s fine. What’s NOT fine is yelling at people and speaking in a condescending tone. Before you say, hey, maybe there were signs! There were not. She could have spoken to us more nicely. She chose to show her bias. She was rude, and they even told us not to come back when we called them out on their rudeness (in admittedly colorful language). I would recommend avoiding this gallery both if you are an artist or a connoisseur of the arts."
