Reviews
"Beautiful, clean trails to hike! There's an easy and smooth trail as well as a few slightly moderate trails. We heard songbirds and saw a lot of chipmunks. We plan to return soon."
"The dam at the south end of Campbells Pond first appears on maps between 1893 and 1905. The metal beams we now see above the dam supported a road used to access the pump station. The road first appears on a map in 1955. Minutes unfortunately the roadway no longer exists which would make for an easy way to hike around the lake. While this looks like a railroad bridge (it’s narrow, and I first thought it was) there’s no evidence on old maps that there was a rail spur here. Only a road is shows crossing the dam in the 50s-90s but no tracks. Also the beams are not thick enough for rail."
