"One of the least crowded sections of South Mountain Reservation. Not easy to access except via the nearby parking area off Old Short Hills Road, very few hikers explore this part of the park. Just look how free the beech trees are of carving graffiti, will tell you this corner of the park has been quiet for decades. The trail is wide and clear but can be steep and rocky. Make sure to check out the historic gates of the Pleasant Days Estate (now Greenwood Gardens) and the Alley of Trees."
