"I am so glad to hear of the continued fine ministry of The First Baptist Church of Damascus! I was blessed of God to pastor there from 1969 to 1970 and left discouraged (due to my own higher expectations of what I should have been doing in my first of pastorate). But within 8 months was called to a church in Connecticut and spent 15 years there and have been 40 years now pastoring in New Jersey in the same church. But Damascus will always hold a special place iny heart as my first ministry. Thank you for keeping the church fundamentally sound in theology and music! Thank you for the memories, my dear friends!
