"I stayed here solo camping with my two year old son. We’ve always loved coming to Promised Land and I was so excited to find Ferncrest so I wouldn’t have to deal with all the “stuff” and still be able to sleep outdoors! My son loved the camp store and the big communal fire at night- such a nice touch. We felt safe, happy and SO comfortable at our first stay. I can’t wait to come back with my husband to stay in one of the domes with the hot tubs."
"Truly a wonderful experience. We stayed in the dome tent and it had everything we needed like a mini fridge, microwave, and cooler. I love that they had a camp store with souvenirs but specifically with ice, firewood, lighters, and fire starters. Basically everything you’d need. You could also bring charcoal for the public grill at the pavilion. The dome tent gave us our own little outside space with a fire pit and picnic table. They also have free WiFi. The whole experience was very serene and quiet. They have bathrooms and showers on site. There’s two bathroom locations but I’d keep in mind that depending on where your tent is, it’s a tiny walk. If anyone in your party needs to be nearby a bathroom I’d recommend asking to be closer to one. The staff communicates very well through text and tells you everything you need to know before you go. We’d definitely come again."
"We stayed at Ferncrest to have a nice adventure but still have some comforts. We stayed during the August month so the AC was a great bonus in the dome tents. Unfortunately, it rained during most of our stay which made it hard for us to be able to enjoy the grounds much. Our son did enjoy the digging playground at one point during the rain break. There is a covered area near the playground that is great to eat under to help you get out of the tent but still be dry. The bathrooms were well taken care of and it was fun taking a shower while it rained! We stayed over the weekend which meant the coffee and ice cream was open for us to enjoy. The coffee was great and the ice cream was probably some of the best we have ever had. Check in and out was very easy. The dome was decorated very cute and the beds were very clean. My husband is about 6 foot and he was a little tall for the beds. The towels provided were clean and great to have just wish there was somewhere to hang inside the dome. The other things included in the dome which were very helpful were a mini fridge, a cooler to store any food items, electric hot water kettle, microwave, 2 lanterns, and electric outlets. The WiFi was very spotty but they do let you know that prior to your visit (but it’s a nice excuse to be able to really unplug!). We really enjoyed the experience and have been sharing it with friends and family. The grounds were very close to the promise land state park which was a great adventure to take during the day with a beach, beautiful hikes, boats, and a concession stand."
"This was one of my favorite weekend stays. The location is perfect and beautiful. The grounds are well kept and safe. I stayed by myself and never felt unsafe. The dome king tent was beautiful and air conditioned. The beds slept amazing and being able to kind of disconnect was lovely. I will be back with my family and love the RTIC coolers available. The ability to have a cooler to take outside and inside with the camp store available to purchase ice was great."
"We chose Camp Ferncrest for our wedding anniversary. We love trying new things together - and we both are pretty new to camping. Choosing "glamping" felt like the perfect way to dip our toe into it. The area that the campground is in is beautifully serene. Being immersed in nature with the windows of the dome tent was lovely. Our tent had full electricity and many great amenities, including a wood-burning hot tub, AC, king-sized bed, and more! We had an absolute blast! Cooking outside on the fire was one of our favorite things to do. Additionally, there was an adorable ice cream shop that we tried out after our fire-cooked dinner. It was so yummy! The entire place is totally quaint and adorable, with accessible and friendly owners. I would love to go again!"
