"The last time I was there was in early '90s. That was the last time My Brother and I got fly with Ike in his beautiful Great Lakes bi-wing ,and He also had a Waco cabin in that old hangar there. Hopefully we'll get a chance make back there and meet both of you."
"Interesting place. Land only uphill, takeoff downhill. Great for hiking and relaxing"
"Flew in yesterday - it's a beautiful spot with a lot of history. It's well worth while looking at their website - lots of history for aviation buffs and great information for pilots. David and Aaron are welcoming and responsive to emails through the airport website site. It is an interesting field for a pilot - to my knowledge the closest to the New York area that is a true one way in/one way out airport - a 4.5% slope up to the north along with tall trees at the north end of the field while the south end is completely unobstructed. Highly recommend a stop here, but do make sure to consider winds and field condition."
"Flew my Maule M5 into this wonderful grass airstrip with a buddy and our sons. Long, well-mowed grass on a wide turf runway with new windsocks. Camped near the trees full of autumn color and had a great time! Highly recommend this airport."
"On a moderate grade and, like most unpaved surfaces, it can be hazardous during the winter season. But overall a pristinely maintained field, beautifully set on the hillside with a southward view you'd expect to find on a postcard. Worth a visit whether you're an aviator or not!"
