"Dr. Nelson Giraldo has been, my doctor, and my 76 year old mothers doctor for over 19 years. He is the most professional, and caring doctor on Long Island! Dr. Nelson Giraldo is an outstanding doctor! Prior to my mother and I being his patient, the doctors we had, would check our vitals, ask what the problem was, prescribe medications, hand is the scripts, and on to the next patient. I’m sure many of you, can remember those days!! All doctors were that way! In and out! We were just a number on that chart! They didn’t stop to listen to anything, they were already thinking of the next patient, or their lunch hour! We had to speed talk, and hope once we were walking out that door, that we didn’t forget something important to tell them! Or the other reasons why we were there! If a patient can’t sit, and discuss their problems, and ailment with their physician, and the doctor doesn’t take the time to listen, how will they know what’s really going on with their patient! Dr. Nelson Giraldo, does listen to the patient! Dr. Nelson Giraldo let’s his patients know he cares about them as a patient, and as a person. I’m writing this review on behalf of myself, and my mother. When my mother had to be hospitalized, and have surgeries numerous times at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dr. Giraldo first off, would make sure my mother was comfortable, and being well taken care of, prior to him arriving at the hospital. He is very proficient, professional and profoundly admired by my family and others.He is personable with each, and every patient that walks into his office. Yes his office can get busy, but he’s the only doctor there! My mother has been his patient for many years, and I know that when she is with him, whether in his office, or in Good Samaritan Hospital, that she is getting the best care, any patient would expect and appreciate! I have been his patient for the same amount of years, as my mother. I’m Speaking for myself now. Dr Nelson Giraldo has treated me with the utmost respect, and wasn’t and isn’t one of those Doctors I discussed previously! He is very competent, efficient, and a very dependable Doctor! He cares about the health of all of his patients! He is honest, always positive, and sincere with all of them! This unprecedented Covid-19 has affected all of us in some way or another. Dr. Giraldo closed his office immediately! He maintained contact with all of his patients. He accepted their calls, Zoom calls, and FaceTime calls, continuing to be obligated, and continued to withhold his undying commitment to his patients! His office now takes appointments, and he tries his very best to accommodate all of his patients in a fashionably, and expeditiously time. Sometimes it may get overwhelming, he does have patients come in sign in, and wait in their cars, or wait for the office to call them, to alert them, that they are next, and in doing so, gives the patient time to get back to his office. We are all aware of the change this pandemic has made in our lives, and schedules. My daughter is now one of his patients! What you can trust, is that Dr Giraldo won’t call it a night until the last patient is seen! I wish I could give Dr.Giraldo 10 stars! His professionalism, and conscientiousness for his patients are admired, and appreciated! Please understand a doctors life, and responsibilities before you post negative thoughts. They are the frontline workers, who don’t just come into the office to see their patients, but they go to numerous hospitals to care for the unfortunate ones sick with the corona virus, or other ailments! Lift their spirits up! They take care of our parents, friends, US.. and the elderly! Their hands, and minds are guided by the most high, and holy. I wouldn’t trade Dr. Giraldo for any other doctor! "Dr. Nelson Giraldo has been my primary care physician since 1995...25yrs. My husband and I adore him. In 2007, when my husband had a condition, Dr. Giraldo put a team of Drs. Together quickly at Good Sam Hospital, and saved his life. Dr. Giraldo is respected by his colleagues in Medicine and one of ther finest of men I know. My father, Dr. Sam Anziano of levittown, NY... was the Dr. Like Dr. Giraldo. . A Dr. Who treated you like family and treated you from head to toe. I almost don't want to tell you how fabulous, caring and awesome Dr. Giraldo is... because appts. With him will get harder. But... you deserve excellent Primary Care too.... so see Dr. Giraldo."

"Great Doctor!! Unreliable help in the office. When you call they say they wilk call you back and never do. Some even have bad phone eddicatt. Wait time is about 3 hours WITH appointment."

"I had an appointment for 415pm. Arrived at 350pm. When checking in they tell us that the doctor just arrived (at 350pm) and was now seeing his 1pm patients. No phone call to notify the patients about the wait. This is probably the worst doctors office on Long Island. I myself work in a clinic and see clients all day. I strive to see clients on time. I pride myself on seeing clients on time and not making them wait. Yes sometimes it’s not possible but I always try. Reading the other reviews it seems that this doctor has the same issue constantly. It’s a shame that this man continues to get away with treating people like this. Lazy doctor. Lazy work ethic. Shameful."

"Terrible place, I made an appointment for 2 pm I walked in had to ask what to do and they told me to sign in and then I sat down, they didn’t tell me to fill up any paperwork I had to ask if I did then I asked how long was the wait and they said to me LONG wait, then I asked how long ? An hour? I had to get out of there in 2 hours and they said no... it will not be possible because there are 5 people in front of you! What kind of unprofessional establishment is this? They set up an appointment with me and 5 more people at the same time?! I had to walk out because this extremely unprofessional. By the way I know the doctor’s schedule is 1 o’clock on Wednesday’s so... they scheduled several people around the same time that was no backed up day. Please take your business somewhere professional where they respect your time."
