"Perfect, professional, courteous, caring and efficient. Individual practitioner practices medicine like it should be, no big company baloney that seems to be prolific today. Previously used a provider that sold out to a mega medical company and the red tape was unacceptable with countless obstacles, went to Dr Karakurum and got the proper caring treatment I needed extremely fast without obstacles. Highly recommend."
"I do not "like" this doctor's methods. Screening colonoscopies are supposed to be 100% covered by insurance as per the Affordable Care Act. My husband's medical insurance company verified this coverage. The ACA was passed March 23, 2010. This Gastroenterologist office staff never heard of it. My husband walked out after prepping for the colonoscopy. He has no history of polyps, a diagnosis that voids fully covered care for life. The office demanded $300 payment up front for their out of network anesthesiologist. He had agreed to this charge and signed the Surprise Bill authorization. They next demanded $715 for the deductible, even though we told them the insurance company disagrees. Finally, they would not do the screening colonoscopy unless he gave them an open ended credit card to bill for incidentals, "just like a hotel does." Are there any honest Gastroenterologists out there who actually comply and participate with the Government mandated Affordable Care Act of 2010?"
"Very shady Doctor and office practices. Do not be surprised if you start getting bills from other Physicians and Medical offices. He also tries to get you to do unnecessary procedures just to squeeze your insurance. Beware of other Gastros with similar greedy practices."
