"For the last few years my Mom has been under the care of Dr. Andrew Wolf of KCHC. From the very first visit Andrew struck us not only as a great medical professional but, as a 'sun in the glumy sky'. He was able to project a genuine concern for my Mom's condition and such an uplifting chearfulness that by itself that alone was the best medication imaginable. She was 100 years old at that time, constantly in pain, and in bad spirits, hardly in a mood to communicate with anyone. But, Andrew managed to 'ignite' her spirits and she was a much calmer and relaxed even for some time after the visit. Ever since, she often asks if Andrew would be visiting her again soon. And, sure enough, he does. Whenever there was any issues that required a medical or even a phsycological opinion I would contact Andrew directly and within minutes he always responds. He helped to arrange home visits by other medical professionals like podiatrists and psychalogist. Promptly ordered necessary diagnostic procedures, always checked to see if any medicine has to be reordered. Overall, Dr. Wolf's exeptional, extraordinary care makes a great impact on the patient as well as on family members which makes easier to deal with the care for my Mom. We are very lucky to meet Dr. Wolf, and have him as an 'attenting doctor on hand', and we are greatly thankfull for all his professional attention , care, and encouragements."
"I’m giving one star right now because zero isn’t an option. My father had X-rays on 5/10/24 it took 4 days of my mother calling everyday to get the results which weren’t even accurate and required the X-rays to be repeated again on 5/17/24. The results of this second X-ray are still not available. My father has been coughing round the clock and we don’t know what’s wrong. He had ALS my mother is a heart transplant patient and she is now also beginning to cough. My mother has a compromised immune system and this stress is not good for her and all she’s being told is the results will be available at the end of the day every time she calls. I have gone back and forth about whether or not to add to this review but I decided that I should. The complaint listed above is not the only complaint my mother had about this facility but given the urgency of the matter at the time was the only thing I chose to address. Let me begin by addressing why my father had to have his X-ray repeated. The original results that we received weren't just inaccurate, the were for the wrong person. For someone who had heart surgery which my father had never had. So in my father's results were the results of another person which is a HIPAA violation. And we never did find out what happened to those original results. My mother also mentioned having problems with getting prescriptions for my father's DME. Please also keep in mind no one ever contacted me about my review to address my concerns. I chose to post this in hopes of creating a dialogue. Not long after I made this post my mother contacted Kings County to request an in home visit for my father who was not feeling well. My mother was told that because of MY review we had cut ties with them because we weren't satisfied with their services and it was their policy that my father would no longer be their patient unless it was taken down. At one point I was brought on a conference call between my mother and the manager. My mother was angry and upset, and the manager was rude and dismissive at one point she said "She was done with this conversation if we weren't taking down the post and she had other calls to attend to" and she hung up on us both. So they retaliated on a patient for something I did. I ended up speaking with a gentleman named Abe who I had been told by the previous woman is also a manager. Abe was much more kind and understanding. He did acknowledge that mistakes were made and calls were possibly being mishandled due to short staffing issues. He acknowledged my concerns of the HIPAA violation. He did apologize but again stood by what he claims is the policy that if my post did not come down that they would not be able to resume my father's care. So Kings County chose to retaliate against a man and his wife who is primary caretake and has her own list of medical concerns all because of a negative review that wasn't written by either one of them. We have since arranged care for my father with another service. Shame on you Kings County House Calls."
"Great place! Very easy to connect with the Doctor and doctors visit their patient at home. My father-in-law would never be able to go to a doctor’s office and wait in line to see a doctor. Instead, Doctor Wolf comes to him and does everything that needs to be done. Thank you!"
