Welcome to the practice of Dr. Keith Diaz, a dedicated and highly experienced pulmonologist and intensivist, located at Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) on 355 Bard Avenue, Staten Island, New York. Serving the Staten Island community since 2011, Dr. Diaz is a prominent figure in the medical field, renowned for his expertise in pulmonary care and critical medicine.

Dr. Diaz is the director of RUMC's cutting-edge lung screening program, one of the most advanced in New York City, aimed at early detection and treatment of lung cancer. Utilizing low-dose computed tomography (CT) scans, the program offers a crucial service in identifying lung cancer in its earliest stages, significantly improving patient outcomes.

In response to the global pandemic, Dr. Diaz played a pivotal role in establishing RUMC's comprehensive Post COVID-19 Care Center in June 2021. This center provides holistic care for recovering COVID-19 patients, addressing both short-term and long-term health needs with a team of specialists across various fields, including pulmonary care, cardiology, and behavioral health.

Dr. Diaz's commitment to healthcare extends beyond his roles at RUMC. As a medical specialist for the Fire Department of the City of New York, he contributes to the recovery of firefighters affected by 9/11-related diseases. His dedication to teaching has earned him the accolade of "Attending of the Year" for the 2018-2019 academic year.

A lifelong Staten Island resident, Dr. Diaz's journey in medicine began at Ross University School of Medicine, followed by his residency in internal medicine on Staten Island and further specialization in surgical critical care and pulmonary/critical care medicine.
