"My wife and I left approximately one year after Dr Sciales joined NY Presbyterian. After reading some of the reviews is the reason why I am writing this review. We left Dr. Sciales after seeing him for over 25 years. We left because of the lack of knowledge of NY Presbyterian staff and their personality. My recommendation is go private or check doctors from NY Langone. Going to multiple doctors at NY Langone for 5 years. Great staff in all offices."

"After 20+ years as a patient, regrettably it appears that Dr. Sciales is no longer in practice at the NYP Fresh Meadows location. In fact, his name has been removed from the NYP website. I 100% agree with the other reviewer who mentioned that the office staff, especially Wendy, are most unhelpful and borderline hostile on the phone. Would be nice if there was more transparency regarding his unavailability for the past month or two. Aren’t there laws requiring continuation of care? Now the difficult task of finding a new, trustworthy doctor begins. He was the only reason I put up with the rude and disrespectful office staff but now that he is gone, I have no interest in staying with his replacement or dealing with a bunch of rude, angry and hostile staff."

"I can agree with the negative reviews here. Today 7/24/23 I have an 11am appointment and 46 minutes and later and counting I'm still waiting. That staff watched me check in and hasn't said a word to me stating that Dr. Sciales is behind schedule. Hopefully, this follow-up visit won't be like the first when I was told my experience was invalid because he wasn't there when it happened."

"While Dr. Sciales has been our family doctor for 20+ years and is an excellent doctor ( as is his medical staff,) obviously there is a problem with communication. Although I have left 3 messages for him to call me regarding a medical question I have yet to receive a call back. The first time he did not return the call , I called the next day and explained what happened. I was told it would be placed on a priority level I--still no call back. The third time I called I was frustrated and asked for him to call me as I did not want to speak to the office, I wanted to speak to my doctor. Still waiting for that call back."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Sciales for many years. He is patient, thorough, knowledgeable and extremely understanding. His PA, Yula is just as fabulous. The only reason it is not 5 stars, is his new staff. When he was at his old office, they were lovely, accommodating and understanding ( I am speaking of front desk only, medical staff is great) I just left the office, and not one front desk person greeted me? No good morning, etc, it was very rude, and not the first time. Their inability to understand the environment needs much improvement."
