"This letter serves as a formal complaint regarding the unprofessional and discriminatory treatment I received from Dr. Savescu during a recent appointment on 3/12/2024 During the encounter, Dr. Savescu engaged in behavior that I believe constitutes discrimination based on sex, age, and nationality. This included: Discourteous and Demeaning Communication: Dr. Savescu resorted to unprofessional language and insults while I was filling out forms. This culminated in him tearing my documents and medical evaluation form in front of me. Irrelevant Personal Inquiries: Dr. Savescu made repeated and inappropriate inquiries regarding my marital status, further deviating from the purpose of the visit. Dismissive Attitude and Lack of Examination: Despite my request for pain management assistance due to a recent fall, Dr. Savescu disregarded my concerns and launched into an unrelated narrative. He failed to conduct a proper medical evaluation. This experience left me feeling distressed, unheard, and traumatized. It is unacceptable for a medical professional to behave in such a manner, particularly towards a patient in a vulnerable state seeking medical attention. Course of Action: I will be filing a formal complaint with the New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct. I will also be submitting a complaint to the appropriate medical board. I urge anyone who has experienced similar unprofessional or discriminatory treatment from Dr. Savescu to come forward and file a report."
