"I have been having problems with my knees for several years now. I went to Dr. Kamara because of my sister who for quite a few months was in severe pain in her hip area. Dr. Kamara performed a frontal hip replacement for my sister. She walks better than I do now. Her initial assessment with Dr. Kamara left her feeling confident about putting herself in his very capable, professional and intelligent hands. When I went to see Dr. Kamara he made me feel at ease. There is much to be said about a doctor who actually has a conversation with you about your concern. Dr. Kamara asked why I was there and actually listened to me speak without the type of interruptions you would normally experience with doctors because they heard a key word; thereby not allowing you to finish what you are saying. Dr. Kamara kept the conversation about why I was there on point, explained to me, in language I could understand, what he saw in the x-rays of both my knees, and explained treatment options as well as answered any questions I had about the treatment options. I found Dr. Kamara to be professional, and easy to speak with. He has inspired a sure confidence in me that he will the best doctor to help me. I am looking forward to his help with regard to knee replacement surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Kamara because my sister is living very well in her older age due to her hip replacement surgery. "Dr. Eli Kamara, is in my own opinion, one of the best orthopedic physicians i know. When I first met him, I had questions for him. He kindly explained everything that was going to take place to me before he did the operation in detail. He like for you to ask questions and have a doctor and patient connection. Before I had my surgery, I did some research on him, and I like what I read about him. He is one of the top surgents in his field. Dr. Kamara did both my hip replacements, and I never had any pain at all. In fact, I'm going to need knee replacement, and he is the only one I will let touch my knees. He is a caring person who checks up on his patients. I can personally say this, because he went over and beyond looking after me while I was in his care. "He is a wonderful doctor and a very skilled surgeon. I saw him for years for arthritis in my knee that was deteriorating rapidly. He had told me at the beginning that I needed a knee replacement, but I wanted to hold off since that was a big decision and a difficult recovery and he supported every decision I made along the way. I relied on cortisone shots to keep me going. When it became impossible to walk without a lot of pain I agreed to let him do a full knee replacement. It was the best decision of my life. I walked out of the hospital a couple of hours after the procedure with a walker and healed at home with pain killers.. The pain was unpleasant for about three weeks and then it started to ease up. I live alone and was able to do everything for myself including showering without help. Four months later I can walk normally and pain free without a walker or a cane. If I have any other issues with hips or knees I would go right to this guy, he's the best."
