"We got there early so it wasn't too busy on a Sunday. After 3 pm, I think it's half price, so more people show up then. Fun things to do for all ages. I'll be 63 next month and I enjoyed everything. Small note, you can not take food in, and it's a little pricy at concessions."
"Only good for older kids. Decided to take my 6 and 11yr olds. 11yr old had plenty to do and had a great time. 6yr old was too small to sit in a tube without falling through so she could only do the wave pool and lil kid area. Honestly wish I hadn’t gone. It was an awful experience."
"Traveled 3 hours to do this. Felt like an oversized municipal pool. Very friendly staff, but no worker appeared to be much older than 18 at the whole park which was surprising for a Saturday. One of my kiddos hit their head on a big water slide and it took over 5 minutes waiting at the first aid station before we went in search of someone, and then they had to go to the kitchen for ice."
"Have been going to Big Surf for many years always a good time. Now I take my niece’s & nephews they have a blast on all the different slide’s and they love the lazy river"
"Older kids really enjoyed our day here! On the other hand I feel staffing should have an educational day on children with special needs. I took my 6 year old non verbal son with Autism and it ended up being very uncomfortable and stressful. I kept him in the toddler section since that was the only place he could have actually enjoyed. He was constantly having the whistle blown and being hollered at even after multiple times of me explaining to them he just didn’t understand. Whistle being blown very closely in his face also causing sensory issues. I understand there are rules for safety which was why I stayed with him the entire time. This happened mostly over minor things like him sitting at the bottom of the children slide too long after going down. He would occasionally try to go back up the slide to go back down it which I knew wasn’t allowed and was right there correcting him every time, once again he just didn’t understand. We have been to multiple amusement and water parks and this was our first time with this kind of experience and feeling uncomfortable. I just feel it wouldn’t hurt for the staffing to have some sort of training or knowledge for these type of situations."
