Reviews of Bird's Blue Hole
"Camping no longer allowed. Day use only"
"Not many fishes in there anymore ..they need to stalk it more..spoopy place to go by yourself cause only one way in one way out"
"Water was on the dirty side but the place was well kept."
"This place is really nice. Big pond/fishing hole. I thought people were allowed to camp but rules posted said no. Be careful driving in, if heavy rains roads might be flooded. Place is secluded and peaceful. Great spot."
"This was a trip from HELL. The road to Cairo was closed at the bridge but that didn't stop us because the site we wanted was before the bridge. Just before the road close sign was a sign "Birds Blue Hole 2 miles to the right" So we took that road it was gravel, well no problem except for the semi trucks that was going the other way and all the dust they threw in our face. Further on the trail was another sign right for water front view and left for boat dock for fishing. Needless to say the only water front view we saw was dried up small river beds with about 100 dead fish laying in it and boy did they stink. But we keep going and we saw another sign that said" Water front view to the left" we went left till it dead ended and no water front site was to be had. Upon all this we decided to turn around and head for home, Except we did not realize the route we are taking was a one way route for dump trucks full of dirt. We encountered a truck about every minute and all they could do was spray us with the dirt and dust from the road. We traveled about 8 miles on this road before we got on any road that wasn't dirt and dust. Like I said a trip from Hell, I suggest that you think twice before visiting this spot. Good luck if you do."
