"I do not often post reviews of local businesses, however I’m happy to make exceptions. Last weekend I rented an excavator from Leberge and Curtis. After speaking with the front desk (Mollie), it was stated that the excavator would be dropped off the night before my rental contract began (Friday). I brought in an operator from Plattsburgh to begin work at the stated drop off date due to a change in weather for the following evening, the excavator never arrived. Attempted to call service number, no answer. Could have gotten 4 hours of work in on this evening. Fast forward to Saturday, excavator arrives, no acknowledgement that it was stated it would be present the night before. Rental contract was for 16 hours of machine operation over a two day span. Was able to get roughly 6-7 hours of work in before the torrential downpour on Saturday evening. Work site was a mess, counterintuitive to continue any work on the property. Sunday, same situation, ground too saturated to complete any beneficial work. After machine was picked up, I contacted the company to attempt to work out some agreement to get the equipment re-rented with some sort of deal. Zero customer service at this request and simply was you can rent at full cost again. Total machine time of roughly 6 out of 16 hours. I’ll advise any prospective clients of this business to cancel your equipment rentals if there is any questionable weather situations and place the burden on the business, not yourself. As you have to rent machines weeks in advance due to availability, weather can not be predicted until it comes time to receive the equipment."
