My two year old son and I went for a walk around the neighborhood and he wanted to go in. They came right up to the door summoned us in and provided us with water, some delicious crostinis, and even offered some wine! I can’t wait to come back and try their awesome products. Don’t hesitate to stop in, you won’t regret it"

"Bravo! Mercado Central stepped into heavy foodie territory when it opened mere blocks from the likes of legends like Paisanos and Staubitz. I am Happy to report they have succeeded and in doing so lifted the whole community up by adding one more world class imported Nationality retail food outfit to a world Class list in Cobble Hill! They filled a glaring cuisine gap in the neighborhood. I mean let’s all take advantage of what NY offers which is everything! "I visited Mercado Central two weeks ago and purchased some canned anchovies ($16) and some canned olives ($8). Putting aside the very high prices, when I went to open the can of anchovies, I noticed that it was expired! I'm not sure how long these anchovies had been around, but I immediately threw out the can. The shop is cute, the owner seems nice, but for such high prices, I expect non-expired products."

"My friend and I were taking a stroll around the neighborhood when we stumbled across this shop. We were greeted by the sweetest employee, Tammy (Tammi?) anyway, she was super enthusiastic and friendly. She showed us all the different Spanish snacks, olive oils and other speciality items. Very unique shop with one of a kind curated foods from Spain. Their items would be perfect for entertaining guests or enhancing home cooked meals. I walked out with some yummy snacks! Would definitely come back and check out what they have next time I’m in the area."

"What an amazing an shop! A one place shop to find all the imported items from Spain. Excellent selection of great Serrano ham, cheese, authentic chips, canned food such as sardines, octopus plus a multitude of other Spanish goods, with all the brands you would expect to see. This is basically a taste of Spain in Brooklyn. If you are missing the food from Spain, don’t miss a visit. Highly recommended."
