"Not a bad place to shop at all. Large, well stocked and relatively well managed. It's a long time downtown Brooklyn mainstay in a landmarked building. Looks more dour from the outside. Much better inside. Give it a chance."

"I went into the Fulton St. Macy’s and realized I had not been in there since they remodeled. When I was a kid that building was Abraham & Strauss (A&S), and that was where my mother and aunt took me school shopping for back to school clothes. It was also where we got electronics, records, toys, and more. Talk about your one stop shopping department store!. When the switch was made to Macy’s, I was disappointed in the quality of the space for a very long time. It felt like an afterthought, with the care inside being way less than stellar. I wondered how long it would take before the store finally closed down. The only thing that ever kept me going in there was the watch repair station they had where you had to walk up a small flight of stairs to get to, and since it was located at the front of the store, there was no reason for me to explore. Imagine my surprise this past holiday season when i walked in looking for the staircase only to find that the whole place had been redone. Decided to take a walk through the place (and down memory lane regarding where things “used to be”)! The place is beautiful, cared for, and really nice to be in. The gentleman who helped me and my partner with our watches was amazing, and perhaps a bit of an old school Brooklynite as well, which felt good. It is nice to see that in the face of all the new generic businesses that have popped up, the folks at Macy’s decided to flex with that location rather than shut it down. I highly recommend folks check out the Macy’s on Fulton Street in the BK. The space is incredible, the staff is made up of the kindest local folks, and I hope the current energy there lasts a long, long time."

"The store was incredibly tidy and roomy. We found a wide variety of choices, but there was just one dressing room available on the third floor where we were shopping. We spent approximately 20 minutes waiting for the fitting room and another 20 minutes at the checkout counter. There was only one cashier on duty, and we were the next customers in line. The waiting time seemed somewhat excessive. Nonetheless, it's a pleasant shopping destination overall."
