"I've been going to this place since I was two years old, I'm twenty-seven now. I am extremely disappointed with the front-desk service, the lady on the phone was extremely hostile when I was calling to inquire about receiving a doctor's note about my mom, who has also been a patient there for 20+ years. There's no reason to be rude when families are already handling stressful situations about their loved ones."
"Original - First off, great doctors! But..25 min on hold to cancel an appointment is too long.. Hope this improves. Update 1/17/2024 - Dr. 20 min late to virtual appt, called to cancel and make sure I wouldn't be billed. Receptionist was curt and not helpful.. Hope this improves."
"First, this place is in DRYDEN not Cortland. I have a consistent billing problem ever since Cayuga Medical took over DFM. At each visit, I'm told I have a co-pay, even though I don't and BCBS told them that-twice, they sent me a bill for $300 when I owed $30, and my appointments that used to cost $30 are now being billing for $60-70. I have to contact BCBS all the time to deal with these problems. It's very stressful. I still go there because I like Dr. Sopchak, but the billing issue is becoming a BIG problem that is negatively affecting my stress level and health. UPDATE: One day I sat down and couldn't fully stand up without much maneuvering due to extreme hip, lower back, and knee pain. I thought it might get better and when it didn't, I called CMA at Dryden a week or two, or so later on 12.27.23 to see my doctor. I was told by front desk personnel that the first available SICK appointment was on 1.8.23! I had to ask them several times to contact my doctor to ask him to fit me in that week. (They say they have daily sick appointments open and I called exactly at 8:30am.) I was given an appointment on 12.29.23-only because Dr. Sopchak is an understanding, caring professional and he agreed to fit me in. As I stated above, if it weren't for him, I would leave CMA at Dryden in a heartbeat! In fact, the reason I went to Dryden Family Medicine in the first place was because it WASN'T CMA-but now, sadly, it is. I was told they took over Family Medicine Ithaca as well. Bad monopoly."
"I am very pleased with the service I received here. The front desk staff were informative, helpful and prompt with following up. The nurse, Patricia I believe, was so nice. She even gave me a tour! Then Dr. Hektor. Very professional. She listened to everything I had to say and responded accordingly. I am so happy to have found this location. Thank you."
"I have been seeing Kelli for years. My whole family has including my son. Since the switch to CMA this office has been HORRIBLE. Calling for an appointment and getting any of your information is an absolute nightmare. You get put on hold forever or transferred to a million different people. The nurses don’t even have any idea what they’re doing anymore. Leave the mom and pop offices ALONE!"
