Effective immediately, all handgun purchases at Pawn Way #5 will require either a valid concealed handgun permit or a NICS background check conducted through the FBI. Handgun purchase permits are no longer permissible for handgun purchases in any of our stores at this time. This policy may change once the State of North Carolina confirms that previously acquired Handgun Purchase Permits are valid for handgun purchases in lieu of NICS background checks. We recommend holding onto these permits until the state provides confirmation with the ATF.

"I must write this review!! I've been buying things, purchasing or having firearms shipped to this stores location for pickup for several years now!!!! NEVER have I been respected and treated better AT ANY TYPE STORE than I have been at this Pawn Way store!! I've been handicapped for several years now and MS TAMMY P. has ALWAYS taken the extra time to see to it I was as comfortable as a person in my state of health could possibly be!! From grabbing me chairs to sit in whenever I come into the store, to following me around with a chair to the different sections of the store. Then she carry's my purchased items to my vehicle all the while carrying a chair for me to sit in while waiting on my friend to bring the vehicle to the front of the store!!!! You'll NEVER find better deals or ANY BETTER CARE OF YOURSELF AS A CUSTOMER than at this location with the staff and ESPECIALLY from Ms Tammy P. She treats her stores customers just as if it were herself in their compromised state trying to shop!! Thank you guys but especially Ms Tammy P.!!!"
"A very nice and clean environment everyone is polite however I was in there recently with my son and my fiancé this happens to be a special time for me looking for the perfect engagement ring seeing as this is my first time doing so I’m over the top with joy!!! Now I know everyone has their not so good days which I’m guessing that was the deal for the associate who helped us she seemed to be in a rush and her not wanting to really help us attitude made us feel uncomfortable and a little less excited to be looking. But we are going to give it another go because we believe in second chances."
