About the Business
Welcome to Regional Alliance-Small Contractors
Located in the heart of Manhattan at 625 8th Avenue, New York, the Regional Alliance for Small Contractors (RASC) is a pioneering general contractor dedicated to empowering small, minority, and women-owned businesses in the construction industry. Established in 1989, RASC was the visionary creation of leading public agencies, including the Port Authority of NY & NJ, and major private construction firms. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 1991, RASC has since been guided by some of the most influential leaders in the industry, such as Peter M. Lehrer of Lehrer, McGovern Bovis (Lend Lease (U.S.) LMB, Inc.) and John L. Tishman of Tishman Construction Corp.
As a membership organization, RASC thrives on the invaluable support of its members through donations, fundraising events, grants, and fee-for-service agreements. This support enables us to offer a wide range of services designed to enhance the competitiveness and success of small contractors in the region.
Join us for the 2024 New York State Legislative and Business Conference, featuring a Networking Reception on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a Lunch & Award Ceremony from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. This event is an excellent opportunity for networking, learning, and celebrating the achievements of small contractors in the industry.
