Reviews
"An awesome bookstore. A great combination of used and new books. Very thoughtful collection. A must stop."
"Rude. My daughter went to a room where the sign was too high for her to see it was a private room. I quickly told her to shut the door. Was chastised by a woman. Then a man took his time to yell at me about the room, after I already apologized and explained the mistake. I told him I would be happy to leave the store without my purchase, and he said "that's fine". Again, I said "I don't understand why you are still on our case when I apologized". Responding with "people steal items in there". We never even entered the room. My daughter just opened the door. I will not be back. Nor will the friend I was with. Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. They also lost a decent sale as all 8 of us planned to by books."
"Neat shop, but it seemed to me that the majority of their books were quite old with more of a focus on non-fiction genres (i.e. art, history). The "bargain basement" had newer books and fiction, but there wasn't a huge selection. Upstairs, in addition to the books mentioned before, there's a small children's section, local/NY history books, nature topics, and recent releases of popular authors. The staff were very friendly and helpful. EDIT: Looking at others' reviews, it seems that I missed a floor! Reason to visit again in the future!"
"This is a fabulous bookshop and the fact that it is woman owned is like icing on the cake! The shop has wonderful books and so much character. The old maps and books upstairs was amazing. You can easily lose track of time. The prices were reasonable! The bookshop is right on the strip of the historic downtown area. You can stroll over after a meal! The whole town was amazing!"
