"I was paying a fraudulent parking ticket today and Big boy was taking extra long to process the payment. I was also falsely accused of parking in a spot that was for unpaid parking, but recieved a ticket that started at 25 dollars but increased to 55 as I tried to appeal the fraudulent activity. They like to have you pay a "BOND" as if you're locked up over 55 dollars then charge 10 dollars on top of that to appeal. I was given no time to pay the ticket as the decision of the hearing examiner 6/10/24 never got to me in the mail until 7/8/24 and it was basically due at that time. This is a simple money grab and fraudulent by the City of Syracuse. It's sad that the American people are being taken advantage of. We have the right to park our vehicles safely."
"I was wrongfully accused of parking on an even side. I was on the odd side on an odd day and the day before was also an odd day so where do people park when it’s odd to odd day. Forcing people to pay a parking ticket they shouldn’t have got is insane. The officer that gave me a ticket is giving false statements and should be held accountable. False statements made herein are punishable as a class a misdemeanor pursuant to section 210.45 of the n.y.s. penal law. He/she was wrong to give me a ticket and yet if you call they will tell you to give them money to appeal it….what a scam"
"Absolute joke. Waited 30 minutes because they were running behind just for them to reduce 2 inspections tickets given back to back days by $15 after proof of inspection. Judge was a joke who clearly didn’t care about other peoples time. Done giving money to the city using Flowbird while they just take and take more. Parking garage it is!!"
"I have called 3 times on 3 different days (1 call a day) with a complaint and question and have left my phone number to be reached and have received no answer or reply or a return phone call. Just an answering machine saying the person's name and a message saying to leave your name, ticket #, and reason for calling with a phone number to be reached at. Does this person exist? I would guess if they were busy it would take about 48 hours to return a call but over 3 days is ridiculous for a city employee that is being paid by taxpayers money! I'd love to get answer or have the issue I reported taken care of but it would seem this person is never available!"
"For as many tickets they give out this city should be shining, paved, clean, and crimeless. So where is all this money going??? $75 for a parking ticket is crazy, not to mention getting the ticket when I was even parked on the correct side of the street for that day. I never see any cars with tickets on them for wrongful parking up at the top of E. Adams though when that is more of a hazard than anything since you can't see coming up right off the hill. This department picks and chooses who they designate tickets to which is not right."
