Established on November 21, 1983, this park is a tribute to Don R. Roesler, a visionary leader and former Executive Director of the Syracuse Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA). Under his guidance, the YMCA achieved remarkable milestones, such as transforming residence rooms into 30 apartments for the elderly and disabled, and establishing numerous youth centers.
