Welcome to Syracuse Fire Station 18, proudly serving our community from 3801 Midland Avenue, Syracuse, New York. As part of the esteemed Syracuse Fire Department, we are dedicated to delivering top-tier public safety services through a comprehensive all-hazards approach. Our mission encompasses fire suppression, emergency medical response, disaster management, fire prevention, and public education.

Station 18 is an integral part of a department that safeguards a 25 square mile area, home to a population of 144,000, which expands during daytime hours. Our team is part of a robust force of over 350 firefighters who respond to more than 21,000 alarms annually. We are proud to be among the elite group of fewer than 300 fire departments nationwide to achieve an ISO Class 1 rating, reflecting our commitment to excellence.

Our responsibilities extend beyond immediate response, as we are tasked with investigating all fires under New York State General Municipal Law 204-d. We ensure that our fire apparatus and facilities remain fully operational and ready to serve. Additionally, our department includes specialized response teams trained for situations beyond standard medical and fire emergencies.
