"Since they are only open one day a week, that one day becomes important, especially to the local residents. Can't believe the number of times I've made the 20 mile trip there only to find the office closed. Oh, and they say call first....try it - no matter open or closed you always get voicemail. This office has struggled for years. IMO, the state should close this branch until they can find the right employee (knowledgable, reliable and personable)."

"First off all DMV’s lack the sense of urgency and organization, but the Old Forge DMV lacks human interaction and a friendly face. There are no other businesses in this area that are rude, robotic or unfriendly, which is one of the many things I love about the area. The woman that works there Is disrespectful, nasty, slow as molasses and impersonal. I can deal with slow, but my god there’s no reason to be a B to your customers. Wow. I’m glad I only have to go there in person on rare occasions in the winter. If I had to deal with a person like that often, I would go to another DMV in the state. Every time I mention the DMV in this area everyone has the same opinion. Very sad someone has to be that miserable."
