"Parking attendants damaged my rental car, causing $900 of damage. When I emailed the claim center for icon (as they repeatedly reply to bad reviews telling them they should email them at their claim department so they can help) and was basically told to kick rocks. They told me I needed to fly across the country and talk to the on-site manager in person….as if that was a sensible option. For $150/day for parking, this is not just unacceptable (of course damaging a customer’s car with no intent to take responsibility or provide payment is unacceptable), but downright insulting and illegal."
"Parked here today and was very impressed with the service and garage. It’s a large garage and close to the attractions like Chelsea Market, little island and a short walk to the Edge and the Vessel at Hudson yards. Would definitely park here again."
"Arrived at the parking garage on time to pick up my car - the attendant was arguing with a customer in front of us for about 10 minutes. When it came time for us to check out/pay, it went over the 24 hour duration and the attendant charged us for another full day. He acknowledged that we arrived on time and it was their delay that caused the extra charge. Nevertheless, he insisted on charging us for an extra full day, and would not return our car until we did so. Avoid at all costs."
"AVOID PARKING GARAGES OWNED BY ICON AT ALL COSTS - VALET DRIVERS WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR - THERE ARE BETTER, SMALLER GARAGES NEARBY (Not owned by ICON) THAT WILL TREAT YOU AND YOUR CAR WITH RESPECT *MY CAR WAS A BRAND NEW 2023, IN MINT CONDITION, JUST OFF THE LOT (though the vehicle’s age shouldn’t matter anyhow) They should treat all customer cars with respect.* The Valet driver damaged my car while driving it on July 7. When I pointed it out, the driver said it was ‘no big deal, and it was just an accident’ and walked off. I had to go and contact the manager who then “put a claim in” 30 minutes later. Since it occurred on a Friday evening, the manager said Icon parking would contact me after the weekend on Monday July 10. It’s now nearly 11 days later and they have yet to contact me. I have tried calling their number multiple times last week but there is always a long call queue. Last week I waited upwards of an hour on hold last week with no one picking up. This morning I called again and finally got a hold of someone. I provided the claim number and the claim operator said they needed to speak to the location manager to confirm liability. I asked why when the claim was filed by the manager and they said it was because “anyone can just file a baseless claim, so we need to talk to manager to confirm our liability.” After waiting on hold, the claim operator said they couldn’t get a hold of the location manager to confirm liability and would call me later today with additional repair information once the location manager confirms liability. It’s now the end of the work day and I have yet to receive a call back. I doubt I will. Avoid this place. The staff is rude, they damage your car without remorse, the resulting claims are ignored, and when you finally speak to a claim operator, the damage claims filed by the location manager are subsequently met with scrutiny and doubt as if they are baseless."
"This parking facility only caters to their vip well tipping customers. I came here to park and charge my Tesla. The manager told me the charger is broken. 30 mins later there was another vehicle on the charger and the charger was clearly working. The manager wouldn’t even let me check to see if the charger was working. Employees were yelling towards me from the other end of the parking facility. Everyone is extremely rude."
