"good massage. but they will force you to tip at least 25%-30% and if you don’t give the money, the receptionist will raise her voice and make a commotion in the lobby enough to embarrass you"
"This place is a gem and I’m so happy to have stumbled upon it. I’ve gone here for facials, massages, and recently eyelash extensions. The facials are extremely thorough and a bit painful, but so worth it. They take their time with the extractions and layer various products nicely. I go every other month to get them done and my favorite is the deep pore cleanse. The massages are pretty cheap and they can apply a lot of force if you ask. I’ve only gotten my eyelashes done here once and I plan to continue. They are a bit pricey but the lashes are so soft and the process they go through to cleanse your eyes and apply the lashes is so gentle and preserves the natural lashes. They take their time with the services so make sure to allocate 2 hours if you’re planning to get lashes or a facial done I noticed a couple of the reviews claiming that they were forced to tip more and in the past year that I’ve gone here I never experienced that issue! I always do a standard 20%. They have great hours and open till late. Check out Yelp for a discount for first time customers."
"Sense spa is a clean and well managed place by great staff. We took the 60 min deep tissue body massage and the massage was very well done focusing on my pain points well. The one and the only issue with the place is how they force you to tip more taking away the entire experience instantly. The lady at the reception forced me to pay 50% tip and upon refusing she embarrassed me vocally. This was very unprofessional and took away the experience of the spa."
"Excellent massage. Came here with a friends recommendation and got an excellent deep tissue massage with right pressure at all points. Very good massage for the price, its $40 an hour for full body. Only reason which is frustrating is that they force us to pay extra tips despite of us being way generous with the tip plus the $40. Despite this of paying for the service and the tip (which is customers wish on how much they should give), it came as an insult on the tip they expect from every customer and its close to 50% of the service. I understand that the staff might be underpaid but the customer should not be liable for that."
"One star is for their inability to describe how one service is different form another in attempt to sell their services/product. Cannot explain why someone should get one treatment over another other than using "good", which is a very poor and bland description for anything. They had recommended the acne treatment instead of the regular facial, which is fair game as I know my skin is not the best, but cannot tell you how one will benefit your skin as opposed to the other. Poor selling techniques and that was a major turnoff. Limited English proficiency as well. They should know that customers may be able to understand what they're saying when they start talking in Mandarin."
