"I typically don’t leave reviews. But if the experience is exceptional or extremely poor I think it’s important to let other people know so they can make the best decision for their care. I had a root canal done by a Dr at another practice. 2 weeks after I went back in due to persistent pain, and a 3D xray showed a large tooth fracture. I was told the tooth needed to be removed. I called this office, and told the receptionist the situation. They were booking far out so I explained that I was in a lot of pain and asked if I could be seen sooner. The fact that they are busy, and I couldn’t get in sooner was not the problem, but what made me extremely upset is that the receptionist said “you can’t be in pain because your tooth’s nerve was taken out”. What??? Who is she to tell me if I am in pain or not. I am struggling with mental health issues from having debilitating pain for so long. I thought that was disgusting. They ended up getting me in sooner because someone canceled an appt. I was thankful even though the initial conversation made me apprehensive. When I got there, I witnessed in person the unempathetic way clients were interacted with at the front desk. She had a very contrived, rushed and robotic was of dealing with people. When I was called back I handed the tech my 3D xray. She asked me which tooth I was in for and I asked if she had my records. I didn’t know if I remembered the correct tooth number. She passive aggressively told me she wanted to hear it from me. Was it not reasonable to be concerned if all the previous testing I had done wasn’t being looked at by this Doctor? I think that’s pretty understandable. They should know what tooth I’m in for if records were being considered. She said they would need to take 2D X-rays and that the 3D one on the thumb drive I handed her may not show up with their software. I explained that I have had 10+ X-rays taken in a matter of weeks and that the whole point in bringing the 3D xray was to save hundreds of dollars. She said the front desk tried to contact my dentist and they were closed. They were NOT closed as I talked to them right after. I explained that the endodontist took 2D X-rays as well, and asked if they had been contacted. She said they couldn’t be reached. Again, I spoke with them directly after this appointment. They said NO ONE had contacted them. She takes me over to get another xray, and Dr Rashidi comes out holding the thumb drive I brought in. He said it was for a man named James, and was not for me. Come to find out, this drive was mislabeled, but was indeed an image of my mouth. With some care and patience, it would have been very obvious that was my mouth since I have a distinct front tooth implant. He said I would be charged for another xray to be taken. When I was apprehensive about getting another image taken, and explaining I would rather have the images that were already taken be gathered and used he said “so I’m confused, are we taking an xray or not”. He was short. Had zero empathy for my situation. And when I started cry he told me “there’s no reason to be crying”. I took the xray back and left the office. Since oral problems can lead to extreme depression, it is so important to listen to and care about what people are saying. Rather than treat them like an inconvenience. You don’t know what someone is dealing with, and the pain they are feeling. I left with extreme anxiety and was hyperventilating the whole way home. I know what kindness feels like. And I operate with compassion. This place does not."
