"My friends and I, 22 years of age were spending a weekend on fire island and went to this mini mart to purchase a few cases of beers for the night. Once we arrived at the register we were confronted by a very rude employee who looked at our New Jersey ID's with arrogance and exclaimed she must take this to the police station (next door) to determine if it is a legitimate ID. Us, actually being of age thought of it as an inconvenience but otherwise was reluctant to let her go thinking this would be quickly resolved considering the police station was literally 5 feet away from the store. We were wrong, 15 minutes later she comes back into the store with a very arrogant tone and says "yupp this ID is not good here". She refuses to serve us and at this point we are utterly confused and frustrated. We immediately went to the police station completely confused as to how a legitimate ID taken to a police station could be deemed not valid. The officer said there was no way for him to check the ID, treated us rudely, and was of no help whatsoever."

"We arrived to pick up some necessary items for our stay. We have shopped there for many,many years. We were treated very rudely by an adult woman behind counter/register. She yelled at us down an aisle and said, "You good? MOVE on your way". We were looking at healthcare products and it took us a moment to make a selection. She was incredibly rude to my family. We have been coming to fire island for more than15 years and never had such a bad experience. It wasn't just us, she was yelling at other customers too. She also admonished a family for selecting bags of ice and not packing them inside another bag. The store is stocked well but the rudeness from this staff member makes it worthwhile to walk 2 min down to the other grocery store at the west end of Bay Walk. That also has everything with an extremely nice staff. I wish I could give this store zero stars. The owner needs to be made aware of her behavior. People will only pay these high prices if the staff is kind, otherwise they'll go elsewhere."
