"Went for capuchino, they were out regular milk, then they made it with almond milk, just warm the milk and they hand it to me and I ask what's this just half off cup warm milk, can't even heat the milk to make foam on top, they answer was we are out of almond milk as well ,all I want it to heat the milk to create a foam they didn't know how to do that and just walk out ... Terrible, Terrible,Terrible...."
"The Anba Tonel Group is offering a one-of-a-kind experience within the Haitian community. In one spot, you’re able to get cafè staples (including great hot chocolate), popular entrees at Tonel To Go, and event space!"
"I made a quick stop here and it was a lucky move. Super nice people and a comfortable environment. Their patties are so good. Not very hefty but that's fair for $2. Little spice, lotta flavor, and made with love. Fish patty was my favorite."
"I’ve only tried a few items on the menu and will say the patties were authentic and are made really well considering the flaky crust. I also appreciated that they have Haitian spicy peanut butter although not for me. Lastly, and hopefully management can take this as feedback given most reviews point to the place being dark, if they can introduce outdoor dining (bistro style), less graphics on the window, and a large visible menu outdoors this may help the appeal."
"The Bakery is nice. However as a Haitian-based Bakery, I expect more Haitian sweets and treats (ie. coconut drops). They have the Chokola Ayisyen I've been craving, but the other pastries are too American. It needs a touch of the Caribbean in the mix besides just the Name and Slogan, Hot Chocolate, and maybe a few other Haitian things I have yet to focus on. My next concern is the Cashier. They don't know what they are selling nor are they trained in making a sale properly. I feel like the owner should take the time to create a menu with product description, price, and allergy concerns as well as have the cashier inspect what is in each product so the customers can feel more confident in their purchase. My Big brother and I are from the print shop across the street and have been very perceptive on Bon's business development. As a Communication Designer myself, I see many opportunities for the owner to expand and reorganize on the backend. They're location address is wrong at this time. They're located at 1415 not 1407"
