"Really cute bakery with excellent ambiance and wide array of bread options. Unfortunately I decided to get a half sourdough loaf and it really didn’t have any flavor or any of the chew I expect from a developed sourdough. It tasted like regular white bread and they also don’t slice loaves for you (they’ll cut in half to sell you a half loaf but can’t slice it further). For $11 for a half loaf, I expected a lot more. 3 stars because the woman working there was very kind and pleasant and I think I probably just ordered one bad thing on the menu. The pastries looked divine and I’m sure they would taste great. Will come again to try something else."
"This place brings a taste of France to the streets of Brooklyn. Their pâte feuilletée (laminated dough) is buttery and flaky, making for excellent croissants and danishes. Very well done patisseries, although the financiers and cookies were less impressive."
"#TGTG pastry bag - The staff was helpful and pointed me to the bag that was diligently packed. The restaurant has a spunky vibe and looking at all the food made me hungry. I got a total of about four pastries. The plate may have one dessert missing (almond croissant) and may have a dessert from another place (the round thing with raisins) The portion size on the desserts were huge and definitely covering the value portion. The pastries were flaky but for me were a bit too dry. I don't know if that's by design or because they are left overs. Secondly the taste was just alright and nothing too out of the ordinary to say."
"I finally tried this place. It was amazing the chocolate almond croissant and the apple danish. It cost $14.50 for those 2 items so not cheap. They have a nice backyard. Cute spot."
