"I love this bakery. Amazing pastries. The filled pastries are always extra filled and bursting with flavor. You cannot go wrong with whatever choice you make here, savory or sweet. I am partial to their filles donuts and éclairs. The textures are always perfect. I go on weekdays so there's never a line"
"This bakehouse exceeded my expectations. When you're going for the first time, it's so small I walked by it twice lol. However, they truly pack a gigantic punch. Serving up modern and popular pastries with some amazingly unexpected twists on the flavor profiles. I came in with my eyes and heart set on the ube eclair, and I am so happy I came at a good time as I've heard they sell out often! When I walked inside the 2 people working both greeted me, and they were so friendly and comfortable that it relaxed me and allowed me to look at my options with no pressure. (For someone with anxiety it's so important to me that a place makes me feel calm and comfy!) when I was ready a nice guy came over and allowed me to pick and got it all ready for me. I went with that eclair I had my sights on, and added on a cookie. Now listen, I love desserts but normally cookies aren't my go to. That cookie changed my mind. It was DELICIOUS. It was the perfect balance of sweet, salty, decadent, and the perfect texture. The miso even gave it an umami flavor profile as well to me. Thick, but still a bit soft, and chewy. Just writing about that cookie makes me crave another lol. It's the perfect cookie. Truly worth going for alone. The ube eclair...what a treat. Inside had the perfect cream with a great ube flavor. When you order something ube you wanna taste that flavor. It's such a distinct flavor that when you want it you truly WANT IT. This did not disappoint. Fresh, and the inside cream was done so well. The shell perfectly made, and honestly I'm just such a fan. This bakery is amazing, and easily has now become a top 5 bakery for me in New York."
"Good balance in flavors. The pastries I had weren't overly sweet. I highly anticipated the cruffin; however, it was a bit of a let down. The dough seemed dry. But the cream filling was lovely"
"Nice place to grab one of their special Cruffins, croissants and other delights. Looks like a pop-up store but is around for a while. Great quality bake - and some innovate styles too. So head here to pick up some stuff or sit at some of their few tables to enjoy straight away. The croissants were great and other outlets in the are would definitely profit from lern from them here how to do a proper croissant …."
"Everything looked so good, I wanted to try them all. I opted for the Rosemary & Blueberry Bi-Color Croissant—so flaky and had a generous filling that was just right and didn’t make the croissant soggy, and the Cruffin of Love—was hard to eat because it was so tall and I didn’t know where to even begin! It had Raspberry Rose Champagne Jam & Chanty which was nice and just the right amount of sweet, not tart or too sweet. It was freezing in early February when I went, so the seats outside weren’t too inviting. But the 2 people who were manning the store were pretty nice. I will definitely come back and try the other pastries when I go back to NYC."
