"Lack of customer service and workers were rude. I walked in and looked around the store for about 10 minutes, and I wasn't acknowledged in any way. What's worse was that one of the workers took out a big bag of trash and blocked right in front of the shelf of cookies I was browsing. He proceeded to pause there, with the bag of trash, to have a conversation with another worker behind the counter. Not being able to put back the bag of cookies I already took off the shelf as I was blocked off, I found out that the cookies were already expired. Would not return again!"
"I love this place! We buy our prosciutto here once a month and I love browsing the aisles while waiting because there’s so much to look at and buy! The proprietors are lovely and patient + their coffee is AMAZING. I was broken-hearted when Cheese of The World closed on Austin Street after 50+ years. It was one of my favorite places to stop in and I learned so much about cheese and gourmet food from shopping there and chatting up the staff. Cipollina is filling their spot in my heart."
"This is great if you want something Italian. It’s like an Italian supermarket."
"What a gem. Great cappuccino, wide Italian grocery inventory, delicious bakery goods, and the friendliest staff. I wish I had stepped inside here sooner. It's like they were plucked out of little Italy 30 years ago and dropped in Forest hills"
"My kids and I visited this charming store yesterday. We were welcomed by the owners and were so impressed with the selection of Italian goods and treats, as well as foods from other European countries, such as cheeses, jams, and cookies. The owners are very customer-friendly, and kind. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality European and American goods. 5 stars!"
