"The atmosphere was nice and the order was quick. Everyone in the store was friendly, has a nice little seating area where people can actually sit down and eat. Kinda like a DD vibe. Order was 3 Everything bagels w/ egg and cheese, lettuce tomato and 2 iced coffees (ordered 1, left the kids to pay and scoop so this is the result) total came to be ~$27 EBagel was extremely fresh but it was extra chewy and not crispy on the outside. It was unevenly salted, and took time to chew through. The shredded lettuce is always a win. If you look at the cross section, The cheese was folded into itself which I don’t love. From mfg perspective it was done to quickly cook the food as the the kitchen was busy. But I prefer layers to be bread, cheese, egg so your sandwich sticks together. Is this obsessive yes, but this is how I sandwich and I think it’s most people’s preferred choice I liked the place because the team was nice efficient and very quick. Maybe I should try their variety of cream cheeses and another type of bagel next time."
"What a great place! Prototypical neighborhood deli with most everything you could want. We're stranded in Queens for a couple of days due to canceled flights. I think we will be here a lot!"
"So sorry to hear about the fire. I’ve been coming here since the 1980s. Whenever my family went to the city from LI we’d stop on the way home and couldn’t resist eating some in the car. Been back many times over the years and still the best bagels in NYC in my opinion. Oh and our pet Westie even loved them. (Not sure if a dog enjoying a bagel is a good review or not but he was a picky eater so he also knew a top bagel when he saw one, and we’d get a kick out of him hiding them like a bone then enjoying them later.)"
"They closed due to a fire... Can't wait until they reopen on June 15th. I've been going here since 2001 when I was in 9th grade. Sorry to say but there's no other place to go until they reopen. This bagel shop has been a special place in my life... Hopefully everyone is fine after the fire."
"Stumbled upon this bakery while staying at the Marriott. So glad I did. The bagels were everything. The smears were all so unique and delicious. Great friendly employees. Loved this place!"
