"Asked to purchase a vehicle )Tesla model 3) over the phone with cash as I wanted to ensure the vehicle availability and was told that was not necessary as the car would be available for purchase the next day. I booked a flight for the next day to pick the vehicle up as I live some distance from the location and the vehicle was sold even though I had committed to purchase the vehicle over the phone. Now I’m scrambling to book a return flight home and wasted $300 each way on a flight. The staff are overwhelmed and not supported by management - no flexibility for any employee to make things right for a customer and no communication between employees to ensure situations like what happened to me are avoided. You cannot trust online postings and cars are in worse shape than online photos as well as the two available cars that were different from the one I offered to buy were in significantly worse shape than their online photos. I would avoid this at all costs because I’m not sure you can trust anything they say. May look like a good deal but it really isn’t worth it!"

"I had a terrible experience with the Smithtown, NY dealership. On 04/30/2024, I tried to purchase a vehicle that was available at this location from hertzcarsales online and submitted the application. After a few hours, Greg called me and confirmed the financial approval and purchase. I asked him about the shipping cost, as I live in another state. He said he would get back to me with the details soon. The next day, when I called, someone informed me that Greg was out for the day. On 05/02/2024, after multiple attempts, I talked to Greg and was shocked to hear that he had sold the car to someone else! When I asked him why he had sold the car to someone else after I had already purchased it, he hung up the phone. I called him again, and he said that he was there to sell the car and that I shouldn't question him about it and hung up the phone again! This was extremely disappointing. A credit check was run unnecessarily, and it was a waste of my time. It is highly unlikely that a fraudulent sale of this nature will occur without the manager's knowledge. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this dealership. There are plenty of other places to buy a car where you will be treated with respect and honesty, neither of which you will find here."

"After searching every used car dealership for the vehicle I wanted I was able to pick up exactly what I wanted in very good condition. Pricing is upfront and no sales tactics since the pricing was below market value already. The actual car purchase took me about 1 hour to complete. The Hertz team including Carlos and Alex were pleasant and if you have pre approved financing super easy. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Considering the new and used sales market you would be foolish not to pay them a visit if they have something you’re interested in. Would definitely recommend or buy again from them."
