"Complaint Summary Complaint Type: Consumer to Business Complaint Nature of complaint: Advertising Issues Problem description: On Feb 5th 2021, after a brief phone conversation in regards to a F350 I saw online with an interest to purchase and confirm the availability, I then went to this dealership to purchase the truck. But when I arrived, the truck wasn't there. Eric told me the truck was out getting serviced for a 4x4 button issue, and it would be ready February 9, 2021, and he would call me. Eric advised me two other people were interested in the truck, so I offered to leave a $100 deposit based on good faith, since I didn't get to physically overlook the truck. Eric then advised me that he only takes $500 to $1000 deposits. I told Eric I would leave a $500 deposit on good faith and his word, in which I gave him my debit card and we did not complete a bill of sales contract. I went back to the dealership on 2/9/21 evening to check the status of the trucks arrival to come and see the truck to decide if I wanted to move forward with the transaction since I was not contacted back. So I questioned why wasn't I contacted back as promised, and asked for a refund of my $500 deposit. Eric then stated that the truck was outside and proceeded to show me the truck. The truck does not match the photos posted on the website. The truck was rusted in many places, seats were torn, and the check engine light was on, just to name a few. In which, I then reiterated that I do not wish to move forward, and would like my refund, and Eric tried to persuade me wait a few more days 2/12 and he would have something else I would probably be interested in buying. I didn't see anything that interested me, and requested refund again. Eric said "only the owner can give you your deposit, and he was at an auction and he would let him know" After constantly calling them back, and still no call from anyone at the business. I went back to there on 2/23, and Eric says "no one called you" I said "No!, you said you would call me. I'm here to get my refund." Eric gave me the runaround again and said "the owner isn't here" Finally, my wife and I demanded to speak to the owner, the owner from back office says give them a check! Never again would I attempt or refer anyone to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. Eric and the other guy with grey hair that sits in the desk on the left wall are very deceitful, and not honest salesman. They are rude, liars, and unprofessional thieves. They take your deposits, and money and hold it for ransom with no intention of refunds even when you are due. Cars are overpriced, owner told me himself he bought a truck from auction at 15k and is selling for 36k Please warn consumers that there is nothing in writing that states this company does not return refunds, as they were trying to do. Beware, as this company scams consumers out of large deposits and the vehicles are not what they look like online. WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!!! WARNING!!!! BAD REVIEWS ARE NOT LIES, BUT GOOD REVIEWS ARE MORE THAN LIKELY FALSE. The last image is what youre supposed to be getting vs the other 6 photos of what youre getting."

They are not doing anything about the fraudulent practice they embarked on...she was told good luck....FACT...this was supposed to be a gift to me from my wife for me beating cancer 2 times..again all will BE revealed very soon...with plenty of pictures...you have chosen to pretend you didn't break New Jersey advertising laws...and much more including not disclosing the fact that the vehicle was titled (3) times commercial and had two accidents and odometer alert ..as to correct mileage/discrepancy twice.....information that should have been written in the original ad...which I have ...I save everything.....also,that was not the carfax you showed her...if she was told the proper information she would not ,nor anyone else, buy this vehicle...I had to pull a carfax myself due to continuing issues with vehicle....and yes , carfax is what you used at the time of purchase... since you conveniently left that out of our paperwork that we received and according to Eric ,"YOU DON'T HAVE IT", .....CARFAX WAS THE ONLY PAPERS CONVENIENTLY MISSING IN THE FILE ,OURS AND YOURS ...INTERESTING. ..oh and let's not forget the extra $1000 charge you put on top of advertised cost...illegal!! ...was told because she was financing car and that's the charge.....or maybe the fact that she was forced / told to buy a warranty otherwise she couldn't get financing...not true according to finance company......this is just the beginning of the story....stay tuned folks....SO WIFE CALLS BACK, THESE IDIOTS SAY TO MY WIFE..PER BRUCE.."HAD THEY HAD THE INFORMATION AT THE TIME WE PURCHASED THE TRUCK THEY MAY HAD DONE SOMETHING"...SO THEY TOLD HER THEY WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT,,,, .UMMM WHAT???...EARTH TO SILK CITY AUTOMALL !!!....THAT'S PART OF BEING A USED CAR DEALER . IT'S YOUR JOB ....***YOUR RESPONSIBILITY ***TO GET ALL THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE VEHICLE'S HISTORY AND PRODUCE THE CORRECT CARFAX RELATED TO THE VEHICLE....NOT THE "BAIT & SWITCH YOU PULLED ON US AND SEND US ON OUR WAY WITH A VEHICLE THAT NEEDED BRAKES AND ROTORS NEW 4 WHEEL DRIVE ACTUATORS ( 4 WHEEL DRIVE DIDN'T WORK )FRONT WHEEL HUB BEARINGS AND A NEW REAR........THANKFULLY WE MADE IT HOME SAFELY...SHE CALLED SILK CITY AUTOMALL...TOLD THEM THE ISSUES THEY SAID IT WAS OUR PROBLEM WAS TOLD TO USE YOUR WARRANTY SERIOUSLY ***FROM THE FIRST DAY OF PURCHASE*** ...SO HERE I AM**** A 2 TIME CANCER SURVIVOR**** FIXING THE TRUCK , THEY DIDN'T EVEN CARE....
