"I met Carol at a small wedding show and was intrigued as she was a small business out of her home. I personally like supporting local, small businesses. I went for a trial at her home and was sold. She had many intricate and simple designs to choose from to meet our vision. She even let us incorporate our dog figurines into the cake. When she found out my husband and I never got the chance to have cake at our wedding, she offered to make us a small cake. We did vanilla and chocolate. The way she makes it allows everyone to have a reasonable portion of each. Carol was very responsive to our questions and had a clean, organized work place. She has perfected her craft!"

"Carol's cakes are delicious! They were by far the best we tried at the wedding show we went to, which led us to hire her! Carol is so sweet and made it easy to decide what we wanted for our cake at a reasonable rate. She always responded quickly, and, most importantly, the cake is delicious! There were no slices leftover from our wedding. We decided to eat our anniversary cake at our 1 year engagement anniversary and 1 month of marriage anniversary a few days ago and I am so happy to have enjoyed more of her delicious cake. Highly recommend!"

"Bridal shower cake & wedding cake Carol had the best cake at the each of the bridal shows I attended. I wasn't interested in a huge cake for the wedding, but my mom really wanted wedding cake, so we went to Carol's for a tasting, and she had all the designs available to customize whatever you were envisioning. Her cake is good & very affordable. She helped me pick out a simple, but elegant cake for the wedding to compliment the donuts-dessert display and show off our cake topper. I didn't realize how detailed even a simple cake could be. We had 3 tiers, bottom & top white frosting with white & purple beading accents, the middle chocolate with a gold trim. Even the piping detail of the frosting was customized the way I wanted. The frosting is almond flavor, which I love, but you don't need to get, and the cake itself had 1/2 chocolate, and 1/2 white. The wedding cake was beautiful; although, was mostly for my mom. I was most excited for the bridal shower cake. I loved, loved, loved my cake for the bridal shower! I had a French/Paris themed shower, and Carol had a cake photo that I thought was perfect for my theme. I asked her to use the same ribbon, and make it pink and put yellow flowers on it. I loved it so much! It is a bit of a pain to give her the cake board back to get your $25 deposit back. I drove it out to Lockport the first time. Better off to just stick it in the mail, unless you don't mind the drive. And I would suggest she give out a little more cake to sample at her meetings because her place is a bit of a drive out there. Overall, it is very affordable cake that tastes good, and her work is beautiful. It's difficult to find cake that looks & tastes good, and I think her's "makes the cut." I would (and already have) recommend her to friends & family."

"Upon meeting with Carol for our "Tasting" she presented us with a single smidgen of almond cake and buttercream frosting while she proceeded to tell us about all the other flavors she could make. It was obvious that that cake was not fresh. However we did get to try a few other flavors at the bridal show where we first met her. She has a great variety of cake designs and is willing to work with you on how you would like the cake presented. Those options come with a Variable cost, more on this in a minute, she takes a refundable extra $25 dollars for the plank of wood she brings the cake on, refunded on returned. However make sure to check the math of her offer, while reasonable at first..She called us about 2 weeks before the wedding saying she made a mistake in her calculation and wanted an additional $58.00 because her original calculation was off and even though we had already "Paid in Full" she expected that before she guaranteed the delivery of the cake. At the time of delivery, while we we're at the alter, she told the volunteer that we left behind to hand all of the deliveries, That "he dowels she had in the cake, plus the fancy ribbon you can see around the middle of the cake in the picture, would also have to be returned or there would be additional charges...She reuses the Ribbon from cake to cake and as I said above she had already charged us extra for using it in the first place! The cake itself was a bit dry although flavorful (Lemon Cake with Raspberry filling) Not all guests got filling in their cake, it seemed unevenly distributed and again not everyone got filling in their piece of cake. With it seeming reasonable at first cost-wise we went with Carol for our wedding cake, but with all the extras and the last minute return this or else add-ons we would have made other choices."
