"Overall unhappy with the customer provided by the used car sales of this Northtown Hyundai. I’m in the military stationed overseas and I began looking for a vehicle for my carless wife as she came back early for house things. Since so much info is available online I was able to pinpoint a few specific vehicles for her to go check out to save her the hassle of figuring out what cars would have all the features she wants etc. Northtown Hyundai had a Palisade that was overall exactly what she was looking for and it was relatively close to where she was currently staying. Everything went smooth initially, though the car’s interior was filthy and the center console was damaged when she initially went to see it. That was fine though as they said it would all be fixed and cleaned, so a price was agreed on and a deposit was put down to hold the vehicle. That’s about where the good service stopped. They said they would bring someone in to repair the center console that was damaged and get the car cleaned up. A week passed and my wife repeatedly had to call or go in person for an update just to see the vehicle in the same condition. I understand if their repair person was on vacation or unavailable (what they said), however you could at least reach out for a status update and inform her that the vehicle wouldn’t be ready as soon as initially said. There was a bit of back and forth, and eventually I told my wife to just request a small discount and we could just get it repaired afterwards because she was without a vehicle. After a bit of back and forth they agreed and still needed to detail the vehicle over the weekend so she agreed to that. Days passed and she goes to finalize paperwork and receive the vehicle, and it’s still dirty inside. They said it was cleaned, but it wasn’t done very well all over. Tire shine splattered all over the sides of the vehicle and random smudges all over the interior. Kyle was the salesman she initially had who regularly took awhile to respond to messages and used the “I tried calling you” excuse whenever she would go in for an update even though they messaged about the car from the beginning. Dominic the used car manager had to step in to finish the deal though gave my wife a hard time about the communication not being that bad with the sales rep. Long story short. Poor communication and bad customer service once the deposit was taken. If the vehicle wasn’t a decent deal and close to where my carless wife was temporarily staying before I came back to the states, I would have canceled the deal based on customer service alone. Taking days to reply and simply saying “I apologize” when they finally would is unacceptable. I specifically went out of my way to find dealerships for her with a high rating to avoid a bad experience, but clearly I was misled. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend."
