Reviews
"This is one of my favorite places! I ended up here on a whim with my mom after an appointment. We decided to try the Seafood Gumbo, Roasted Chicken Bowl, Passion Thyme Lemonade, & Crab Pockets! The lemonade was so refreshing and sweet, but also has a herbiness to it from the thyme. My favorite dish was the Crab Pockets. They were very creamy and the crab was so fresh. I could eat 50 of them! My mom throughly enjoyed her Seafood Gumbo. It was very savory, with a deep roux flavor. But also had some spice to it, that took the flavor up a notch. It was paired with some of their Nana’s Bread. Similar to roti, it was fluffy and light. Perfect to scoop up that last bit of gumbo"
"My special fieldtrip of the weekend was to Harlem, and a new medium sized neighborhood eatery in Harlem. Fieldtrip didn't disappoint. At the corner of Malcolm X and 116th, it has a large manual glass door. Inside are plenty of wheelchair accessible tables and turning radius. The atmosphere is great, is very clean, and spacious. The service is friendly, attentive and pleasant. The menu board can be a challenge for the low visioned as it is only available mounted high up on the wall or by scan qr code. The food was delicious. I selected the fish bowl to go, as I wanted to head back home to sit down and savor the food. The bowl came with fried fish, rice, pickled onions and greens. It was very nicely packed in a sturdy cardboard bowl in a shopping bag. Homemade Yucca chips topped off my order. Two hours later and back in Brooklyn, the fish was still crisp, the greens and pickled onions DELICIOUS, and the rice was well prepared. Rice being the signature of each of the limited menu entrees. As a wheelchair guest I felt very welcome."
"I got the fried chicken bowl and it was delicious. It was my first time coming to this restaurant so I didn't know what to expect but I'll definitely be back. I also had the pineapple ginger drink and it was amazing."
