"Absolutely amazing place. We stopped by for lunch and we enjoyed everything. Food, service, atmosphere are 10 out of 10. This was our first experience at this restaurant and food is so authentic and delicious and most of all just so healthy. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful place to our neighbourhood. We will be back!"
"What an absolute gem of a restaurant! Absolutely delicious Ethiopian food, served with generous portions. Three sister’s own this and just opened up Sept 16, 2023. Service is wonderful, the atmosphere is like eating at a new friend’s home. It’s clean, spacious, and spells scrumptious! Also loved the honey wine, Ethiopian beer and the tiramisu. I had a big bag of leftovers and can’t wait to some back with a big group of friends! Such a fantastic restaurant right up in Washington Heights on 181!"
"I had a great time at Addey Ababa. I had never tried Ethiopian food, is to eat with the hands, they have wipes to clean your hands. I like the food and the experience very much. The service was very attentive. I liked the honey wine (not in the menu, you should ask) and the Ethiopian beer. if you want to try a new savory food and full of flavor food, pass by."
"Tonight, I had the most fantastic meal I have had in months. To sum up our evening at Addey Ababa, I have three words: Warmth, Flavor, and Shock. The warmth of the atmosphere and the customer service were simply unmatched. Our waitress was attentive, kind, and made the experience perfect by being attentive, and bringing more injera just before we needed it. The flavor overall, is impressive in depth, balance, and quality. The injera itself is perfection, and comes out fresh and in generous portions. The spices and seasonings are bold, and it is clear that the chef took time with every dish. There certainly is love put into this food. When speaking of shock, it pertains to the fact that Addey Ababa, a restaurant with soulful, top-tier cuisine was not completely full of customers. I go to popular restaurants all over NYC, and rarely have food as good as I had tonight. This is a restaurant and a chef that deserves a line out the door! Please, support this local business, walk in and grab a table, it is only a matter of time before this place becomes a mainstay of the neighborhood."
"We had such a great meal here this afternoon! We ordered two of the vegetarian combo plates. Every item on the platter was seasoned perfectly, and our server Martha kept the injera coming. Our favorite side was the cabbage. They don’t have coffee yet, but they do have this wonderful Ethiopian tea spiced with clove that we had after dinner and it paired sooo nicely with the homemade tiramisu. We got three to-go plates so the rest of our family could experience it too. Aside from the wonderful food, the atmosphere of the restaurant is cheerful, warm and inviting. Martha was so incredibly kind and welcoming, before we even got our food, I already knew we would be coming back. Support this local small business!!!"
