"I have been attending the Tuesday night classes for a few months as a guest. I pay the guest fee and sign in when I get there. Everyone I have met there has been kind, encouraging, and helpful. This is my first year handling my dog. This Tuesday, however, I was horrified at the way I was treated by a volunteer named Ester. I have never encountered her before and was honestly shocked at how cruel and mean this woman was. I entered the building along with everyone else a few minutes before 7pm. She was yelling about how we werent allowed to enter until 7pm exactly, so my dog and I stood in the rain until she waved me in. In all the weeks I have been going, I was usually the LAST one in at 7pm and the room was already full. She told me, "I'm not touching it," and REFUSED to touch my dog. She then proceeded to call all the people in line behind me with their dogs to go in front of me while leaving my dog and I already stacked up on the table. I do not know this woman. I have never interacted with her before, and I have never met her in my life! I was informed by other AKC members that she is a "Board Member." I didn't realize that meant she could be nasty and mean to guests she didn't know. I did absolutely nothing wrong! This was the last Tuesday night run through before the dog show this weekend, and like i said, this is my first year handling my dog in a ring. She just trashed the AKC name, and she should be embarrassed and ashamed of herself. I believed your website when it said, "Guests are always welcome!" Apparently, we are NOT welcome by your "Board Member" even if we paid to be there. I would recommend finding a different person to "volunteer" unless you fully support the disgusting mistreatment of your guests. I certainly hope your "board" isn't full of more people like her, but just in case it is, I gave you one star."
"We have our dog obedience classes with Admiral Perry's there. The location is easy to get too. The building is well maintained."
"Training my dog there, great instruction."
"Dropped in for a confirmation run through. Great helpful group! Looking forward to competing in their FastCat this weekend!"
"Every trainer I have studied with at the EKC has been wonderfully helpful with a wealth of up-to-date information. Their positive approach makes training fun, effective, and helps to build a bond between pup and person."
